[unsettling synth music plays]
The Australian master of the dark synth arts is back and – boy – he is out for blood.
Buzz Kull is the creative project of Sydney-based musician Marc Dwyer. Since 2012, Buzz Kull has carved out a niche as one of the darker, more subversive acts undertowing the Australian electronic landscape.
Buzz Kull transcends the archetypal boundaries of Darkwave. A connexus linking pop sensibilities with spectral, foreboding emotional states that go beyond the circumstantial. A shadowplay of nauseating synth lines and downcast, pounding drum machines that conjure up a desolate void.

Aux Animaux is a Darkwave artist born and raised in Istanbul, now based in Stockholm, Sweden. Her songs draw inspiration from 80s Darkwave and Goth bands, as well as occultism and horror movies. She is a self-taught musician that worked as a professional bass guitarist for several years up until moving to Sweden almost 14 years ago. With Aux Animaux, on stage she sings as well as alternates between theremin and bass guitar. She describes the theremin as her source of sorcery. Aux Animaux has been touring Europe with She Past Away and Then Comes Silence in 2023. In December, she released her brand new album „Body Horror“.

SUNDL is the alter ego of Vienna-based musician and producer Christian Sundl. With a sense of rhythm, a love of repetition and a flirtation with Post Punk, Goth, Techno, House and Dark Wave, he transports listeners into his worlds of time-honored drum machines, sinister synths and darkly shimmering imagery, samples and lyrics – always danceable, always contemplative and certainly always refreshing.
SUNDL’s third release on Cut Surface, on which the musician again single-handedly recorded and played all instruments on the eight tracks, is a flowing road trip. The all-encompassing bracket of SUNDL „3“ is formed by water and many metaphors for it as well as voices, siren-like or tough and strict, which accompany the listeners through the sound floods.
